Meet Fudge
He's the little guy in the background. Fudge - because he's sweet like brown sugar. Or black sugar if there is such a thing.
His story is his owner surrendered him at the shelter with full on mange. He was hairless and in bad shape. Laura and Tom, with Blue Dog Rescue took him in and has nursed him lovingly back to health. He still has some spots - but looks a million times better than he did.
He is nothing but sweet. And Tula is so happy and Raymond is even happier because neither of them bother the old man now. He just lays around and watches the melee.
Fudge likes to lick your face and fart right now. OH. He makes these crazy gutteral sounds. Many of them straight out of Star Wars - specifically Chewbacaca wookie sounds. Sorta like that.
If you are thinking of getting a dog - I hope you will consider a rescue. There's so many out there that need good homes. All three of mine are rescues. They are all pleasures. I have much respect for rescue folks.
