old dirty day
i'm sick of cold weather. i am a weeny and just can't get used to it. i live in texas for a reason. warmth and lots of sunshine makes me happy. i read about all these folks riding and dealing with extreme and long cold dark winters. i have no idea how they do it.
speaking of. before i continue on my rant. i ran across matt chester's website. we had corresponded with him when he lived in CO about building G out a Ti singlespeed frame. he was so kind and asked G alot of questions in order to make it just as he needed it. for some reason i can't remember now, we weren't able to follow through on it. after reading his blog -- and checking his site again -- i recall how impressed i was with his simplicity and still am. his homepage states is plainly:
------
I build custom titanium single gear bicycle frames by hand.
700c / 29".
Traditional single speed (track ends + rim brakes).
Or fixed gear specific.
Simple.
MC.
------
he also appears to be a raw fooder...you'll be hearing more about that as i'm going to be jumping head first into this realm soon. i can't wait.
and he's into his dog and cassette player. anyway - it's worth a read. and to bring this back full circle. he lives in a very cold climate of idaho now and still ventures out on the bike. damn.
the rest of my rant now bores me. what's there to rant about today? it's cold - the trails are wet. i'm not motivated to ride in it. its supposed to rain more tonite and tomorrow. i have a ton of shit to do i don't want to do. obligations. but...overall. it's a good day - i have all my limbs. i'm gonna get my shit done now.
