jungle tree on the greenbelt
hit the GB after work today with chrissy. it was good. got a nice 2.5 hr ride in even WITH my black lungs. still got the 'plague'....but hell. just want to get back on it, u know?
we ran across this tree - it looked like a huge fern with pink feathery flowers. felt like we were in the rain forest. i swear i heard a monkey too further up the trail.
so like...i highly doubt this....but if anyone headed down to republic square to see napolean dynomite outside...uh. it's thursday, not tuesday. my bad. thanks for pointing that out lee.
i also had a chance to go see the the producers...the mel brooks musical. my friend melly melicious works at PAC and they must have handed out tix to them at the last minute. i missed my chance as i was already on the bike heading down to zilker. poo. bet it was fun. wow. there's a sausage girl on that link to the producers. crazy.

Hey Megan. Rob told me you were blogging. I love it! The "tropical tree" is a Mimosa - it's a landscape tree(http://www.monrovia.com/PlantInf.nsf/0/581513f25bd3a5948825684d0070301d?OpenDocument). Not a native. They are pretty cool, I always liked them - they're fun to climb when you're a kid. I'll be checking back.
