my last nite here. and again i find myself at starf*cks for the internet access. PAID, mind u. ugh. how i hate this place. i used to like starbucks. when they first came on the scene. but enough. what's up with one everywhere i look. on every corner. behind me. in front of me. out the corner of my eye. ugh....it's too much. overkill. way way too much.

brings me to: where's the wireless in chicago? i dunno. i'm spoiled by austin i guess.

but this is on a short list of dislikes about chicago. this city is pretty sweet. they are so into biking. i picked up a bike chicago BOOKLETS, as in 24 pages long of bike stuff to do here. all kinds of events. i also picked up a chicago bike station brochure about the showers, bike lockers, shared bike program, 24hr security at millennium park. progressive.

i hit the apple store and picked up a ipod shuffle. my purchase in chicago. i'm not into shopping for clothes really, all the stores on michigan....but my ipod has the 'battery issue' so this is gonna rock. it's 1GB. with 10hrs of play time. AND superlight. like a bobby pin. it will be in use frequently.

so the ending keynote of the conference was this afternoon. was good - overall this conference killed. it's in las vegas next year. i didn't win the free pass they were giving away. nor the powerbook, ibook, photo ipod, ipod shuffle, playstation or digital camera. i am holding out for the eames lounge chair and ottoman one of the vendors was giving out. dang.

there have been a few folks following along on my little journey. i hope i've provided you some kind of entertainment and enjoyment. i sure do appreicate your comments and suggestions and encouragement. i've met some folks on flickr and from flickr that live in chicago or have been attending the conference. that was real cool. thanks for reading and emailing lee, greg, brian, raby, chrissy, dave, pj, absenter, and anyone else that stumbled , tripped and fell into this dribble.
