cowboy pavement ride. summer solstice
on the summer solstice nite we had a great ride. cowboy pavement summer solstice video
started at the springs. i swam for 30min, then met up for our ride. all cooled down and nice and drippy. we head out and hit west of mopac - where we found a tire horse swing and so of course had to swing on it. then headed back into town and played around in the capitol. it's amazing what the capitol security police will put up with. then headed east on 11th searching for a mural that was actually on 12th. we got to pleasant valley and started back on 12th and found the mural. the trolley sculpture part of it is in the video. picked up the hike & bike trail back to the ped bridge and over to the springs.
so NOW> the springs are crowded like i've never seen. it's 9:45 and they close at 10pm. i see my dear friend julie and some Bicycle Sport shops guys and we head down to jump in. there's a guy playing sax at the waters edge. love hearing a sax off in the distance. people are howling for the full moon. we jump in the cold waters and chill. at 10 the whistle blows and everyone starts to move out. we get on the bikes really wet this time and make our way home.
was beautiful. but i'm still sad that the days are going to get shorter now.
