titus on the Greenbelt
oh ya: decided to head out to the trails on wednesday. solo and adventurous. i feel tired. but no worries. it will come.
uh huh.
i got no legs. course, I've ridden a lot this week. but still. I had nuthing. as in N U T H I N
prolly heat related too. it's hot.
u know how u leave the house and your like I'm tired. I'm really tired. but as in past experiences when this happens. your legs come back after a while and u have a great ride.
that didn't happen.
so anyway. back to my story. I continue on towards the HILL OF LIFE. I seem to not know what do to or when to turn around ... as I was expecting to find water in the creek crossings and have to turn around. so in my retarded hurtin daze. I push forward. I get to the HOL and see elana. chat w/ her a while. head to the dam and take some shots and then decide at this point -- there's no way I'm riding back out on the trail. I'll climb the HOL and ride the road home. the HOL kicks my ass several times on the way up. but I trudge on up. get there and call greg to tell him my last goodbyes.
then hit the road. I turn at rudys-bar-b-que and wow: a little cemetary. tucked into the trees. so of course I have to explore. go take some photos. and then head back out.
riding across the ped bridge. and WHOA. look at the sunset. unreal. I snap some photos.
then continue on. crossing the train tracks. HAY. the big huge amtrak with its headlights is on the tracks loading up people. awesome. I take some shots then start noticing some new sticker art I hadn't seen before. take some shots. and finally decide to make my way. slowly and agonizingly home.
I get home at 9pm. I left the house at 5:40pm. so. I rode my ass off then petered out and limped home. hurrah for the bicycle. and for fun adventures.
nice fotos from the ride. i hope you enjoy.
do you have any short little walking videos? i'm thinking of putting together a string of vids of people shooting themself walking.
uh huh.
