I did my own downtown crit race on friday nite. greg got home and we ordered a pizza. I was all antsy for some reason and go: I'll be right back. I jump on the milwaukee and head down speedway (appropriately named) and made my way to guadalupe. so guadalupe through campus, weaving traffic and then downtown > turn left at 2nd > congress. up congress to lavaca > guadalupe and back to 45th. YES. 45min later I'm home and eating pizza and legs are burning. good times. if anyone wants to do that some nite, lemme know. we rode up to the south austin speedshop grand opening. that was fun. BSS boys: brian, kris and scott (shit I hope I got his name right) were there. I think they smelled the free beer from brian's apt. and walked over to check it out. then we rode up lamar to visit jason at his new shop. it's really nice - he's done a great job fixing it up and has lots of beautiful old photos and flash artwork. there will be a grand opening party in november. and I will likely be in the chair in january. ended up the eve at sterling's opening over on the east side and they had a good crowd. we smooched some home brew in the fridge. they bottles were 1/2 full and sometimes it was water. and ran into daniel and turbo there. nice to catch up with him. daniel is having a big helloween party. 1am. the bewitching hour. hay even ran into alexis on sunday. we were riding back from city wide garage sale and I hear someone screeching my name from the coffee shop. ha...cool - glad she's back in town. brian sent out the halloween alleycat info. the nut is putting it on and needs someone to have a party where it can end up - so, feel free to offer up your house/shack/yard/butcher shop. :-) hope to see everyone there.
