shoe sniffer. AMLI crit. ride for the roses pedicabber
um hmmm. the quickie run down as i pour a bunch of coffee down my throat this morning:
saturday. AMLI downtown crit all day. i love crits. rode down and cheered friends at 12. it looked so fun! later, the PRO men 1/2 race was chaos. the first 5min of the race was a classic hotrod drag racing the course trying to stay ahead of the racers (with not alot of luck) coming 2 feet off the ground at one point - and i thought sure would take a few folks out. wacked and scary fun. the mens race was super fast - fun to watch. congrats to solio for talking the whole way in the breakaway. i think that was a smart stategy and was wearing down your competition. funny smack talker.
sunday we pedicabbed for ride for the roses. i had the bitchin' hail mary cab. we hauled some of the foundation kids that had cancer and their sibs around on the 7mile loop. was really cool. and hats off to the real peddicabbers out there (nick & whit, whos now retired). whew.

here is will, he rode with me and was so good and very sweet. and we hit every decline with speed. heehee. he rides on the back of his dad's xtracycle. so he's used to be hauled.

'tis official, pub ride is postponed one week. new date: november 2nd.
wish i could've seen/ridden those crits. sounds like a blast.

I need to get back on a bike so that I can participate in a crit like that. Ugh.

pedicab retirement - not full on bike retirement! haha. anyway. u can definately hang in a crit race.
