sxsw is starting up. im at the convention center for the next 3 days. and i haven't found any racks for bike parking. yet, there are tons of cyclist here for it apparently, and everyone is locking up to whatever they can find. trees, poles, these bars....wtf. c'mon austin. lame. i was here for something else one time, and they had a full row of racks but they were all obviously there just for that event. only temporary.

this is the first time i've ever participated in anything to do with sxsw. i've been to a few anti-sxsw things in years past. but the interactive 'geek' convention is pretty fun. and stimulating -- good to hear the panels and helps motivate you and see what others are doing. its fun to be downtown too. you sorta look at it differently. i'm downtown alot riding through or whatevers. here to there. but u kinda experience it like your here from someplace else. there's lots of brits here. cool accents and dutch too. wish i was belgium.

i thought i saw nick riding down to pedicab last nite. between sxsw and the cowboy rodeo in town, i hope there's good money to be made hauling folks around.

and finally: the king of 6th street. i love this guy.
