faster pussycat kill kill
i rode up to sols shop, austin bikes, yesterday. this creature is the walmart-like greeter at his shop. meow. my road bike doesn't shift from the little chain ring to the big without dropping the chain every single time. i've been like Houdini getting the chain back on while riding. it seems to impress people. but actually: its purely out of necessity that its become second nature. what would i do with all that free time when changing gears and the chain didn't drop. it's still not great. but will do. i need some new parts. badly. we're riding the Tour d Organics on saturday. 62miles. nick and ben opted for the 100. they really like organic farm foods. :-)
me and g headed to the ride of silence last nite. was nice to see friends out for this. last year there were 15 people. this year, there had to have been 200-300. there was a brief dedication and some folks spoke about those that had died in the past year in bike/car accidents. i was moved by the mother that wrote the letter to be read about her son. the kid that was riding his bike on south congress to school and was hit by a cement truck. he was only 17. we were all there for the same reason, to remind the public that bikes are on the roads. lots of bikes. the ride was silent. no one spoke. but I didn't get a completely somber feeling out of it. that was there. but it was just a ride. all together. tolerant and thoughtful. nice. like a brotherhood.
Third Thursday and Bike-In Movie tonite. yep. and Brian moved the alleycat race to Sunday, JUNE 4. cuz it conflicted with one of simon's movies. that just means more things to ride. cool.

That cat doesn't look happy... =)
Has he/she been shaved?
hott pants - what kind of parts are you looking for??
what is that thing? you would look happy if you looked like that?
hey, i love cats, but i'd have to think twice before giving that a pat on the head.
That can't be real! A giant cat head on a cocker spaniel body. Is it some genetic experiment gone wrong?
that cat says: love me. now. or else.
sugar plum: i need good parts.
I tell ya
I have all sorts of ideas
but not enough of them happen
honestly a combination of laziness and parenthood keep me from following through on stuff
bicycle movie night is a classic idea
and showing and sharing art... yes... I need to get out more and get inspired
why is the chain dropping?
I had a road bike that lacked a front deraileur
I used to change it while on the fly
it became second nature
yet there was always an element of danger
and the ride of silence
well
I need to get more involved
