welcome to the fold brother serotta
gone are the days of riding on aluminum. hello lugged steel. serotta csi to be exact. my cannondale served me well over lots of riding the past 6 years. but i always knew its days were numbered. eventually i wanted something that fit me better, that smoothed out the ride and was something other than 105.
my friend alexis told me they had this bike in the shop and to come ride it. it was 3 years old but never used. so ride it we did. 40miles on the fitzhugh route. after that, the decision was pretty easy. i went with campy centaur - many thanks to tim for building it up - and i'm still getting used to using my thumbs.
i rode it home saturday. and it sat for a few days. until my core cooled down from a constant 90 degrees. then, i rode it last nite. a modified bakery loop. so a good hour on it. yes there's a huge difference. im not good at parts speak and such. i'll leave that to the experts in the field. rather: it smoothed out road riding for me. it makes me happy. and its pretty. i feel fortunate and am grateful for this bike.
many thanks to alexis and tim at bss for helping me with this bike. you guys are kind and helpful. im hoping to ride it 100k to new braunfels on saturday for a toobin party. ride and float.
