new rule: bike tools

when the world as we know it collapses, its the people with bike tools that will be kings and queens. bikes will become the main mode of transportation and people with tools and mechanical knowledge will be revered. i gotta start acquiring tools. but for now, i ride over to whit's house.

when i was changing out the new wheels the other morning, trying to hurry so i could ride it to work....i see i have a problem.

that cog goes over on that wheel now. durn. so yesterday i loaded up and headed over to whit's lair...i mean workshop. he took care of it in a jiffy.

and he was handsomely rewarded with vegan chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. i got a glimpse of the newest frame he's building for our friend brian in KY. i'll post it up later.

OH TONITE! fun times on Guadalupe. TURD THURSDAY lots of the shops will be open late with food and music too along the road. jeff, the 16mm film guy, will be showing a film about John Howard’s Race Across America called Psychling along with a whole bunch of schocky xmas stuff, cartoons, etc. outside of Waterloo Cycles starting at 8PM.

sounds fun. bundle up and ride yo bikes.
