Armstrong said he'd like to see Austin evolve into a place like Portland, Ore., where biking is part of the culture and people pedal to work, to restaurants and to run errands. "Walk outside, and the streets are lined with bikes — because they have a safe place to ride," Armstrong said of the city long known for its bicycle-friendly amenities and policies.cool we wont have to move to portland as we had been discussing lately. hay. i'm all for this shop. the more the merrier. more bikes, cyclists, bike shops, mechanics, coffee shops, free showers. i'm all for it.

"cisco kid, was a friend of mine...." that goes back aways....
it is interesting to think what that shop will evolve into
will the shop cater to locals or tourists?
will it be a real shop or a Hard Rock Cafe?
I dig the message
the whole Portland bike vibe is something I would like to see more of in Washington DC
I wish him luck
I hope it works out for the community
Washington DC could use a BIKE AND BEAN
a bicycle shop with a coffee shop attached
specializing in repairs
maybe have a bike coop tool bench that people can rent time on
something to that effect
dc is too expensive for anything that organic
let me know your first impression after your first visit
