the angel of death descended and violently ripped our legs off one by one. no one was spared.

brent set this up with 2 checkpoints: south and north. we were to collect souls at the graveyards. we started at the ped bridge at 9pm. well the angel was a little late so say: 9:20ish. then off to the deep south part of town.

we mostly stayed on bike route 31, then notched over at 290 to congress and across william cannon and down dittmar - somewhere along here we were chased by 2 big demonic dogs and finally to the graveyard. we met up with one guy here and then all headed back down congress for the push north. on the way back the demonic dogs must have been feasting on some other poor soul's hind quarters, cuz they weren't around.

riding back we hauled - most of it was downhill until we got across the river. we lost seth at the congress bridge. his chain fell off - so we kept on after leaving a message on his cell. you know, common courtesy. through campus, down guadalupe and over to hancock. i was hanging on for dear life, but could always see a blinky in front. it was the carrot for me. hauled down shoal creek and made it to the second graveyard. seth ended up getting there before us somehow. we got the name and lee helped with some toob install - while i took pics and everyone kinda hung out for a minute to catch our breath. it would be a fast ride back to the finish. and that wudn't no lie.

back up to shoal creek and after a weird sidetrip on seriously sketchy trail with no headlight and eventually the trail fell into the creek - i got back up on the road. and just as i did the guys were rounding the corner onto lamar. i jumped on - and BOOM the power of jesus could not stop us sinners. they were trucking - i fell off the back but kept the blinky in sight to propel me forward.

we got to the ped bridge and beer was passed around while everyone wrapped up their bloody nubs of legs they had left. we think in all it was around 28miles of screeching haulin' fun. nice work brent.
